Welcome to the endgame
What a weird timeline we live in. Today marks the release of Gears of War: Reloaded… on PlayStation. Or PS5, to be more specific.
Once an uncontested bastion of the Xbox brand, the original Gears of War set an all-new bar for third-person shooters back in the day. Here we are close to two decades later, however, and we’re playing the bloody thing on a Sony-branded console.
If our younger selves could have peered into the future, it’s the kind of industry-defining shift that would have caused our volatile teenage brains to implode. Needless to say, times have indeed changed.

“With a campaign that still has something to offer despite its dated design, and an excellent multiplayer mode on top, this is a welcome introduction to the Gears of War series,” is what we wrote in our Gears of War: Reloaded PS5 review.
For what it’s worth, we’ve also written a big old Gears of War: Reloaded guide on finding all of the game’s collectibles — so give that a look if you need some assistance.
We’ve handed the remaster a solid score of 7/10, but what’s your take on Gears of War: Reloaded?

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
