Donald Trump was uncharacteristically positive in his assessment of Jake Paul’s first KO defeat last night.
The social media star is an outspoken supporter of the President, and even campaigned for him during his successful 2024 run. President Trump was in transit as the fight took place in his adopted home state of Florida, but he managed to tune in on Air Force One.
Paul was brutally knocked out in the sixth round by Anthony Joshua after surviving longer than the likes of Francis Ngannou and Charles Martin. But he didn’t leave unscathed as he had to undergo surgery on a broken jaw.

President Donald Trump pays tribute to Jake Paul after Anthony Joshua defeat
Donald Trump’s Truth Social page is not always known for light-hearted complimentary posts. But the usually combative President was full of praise for Jake Paul even after he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua.
“Just leaving North Carolina, where the Crowd was amazing!” Trump began in a lengthy post. “They will hopefully be voting for Michael Whatley, to be the next Senator.
“Heading to Florida, with lots of meetings scheduled. Tremendous announcement today, in the White House, on ‘Most Favored Nation’ Drug Pricing. There has never been anything like it in the Medical World.

“Prices are now dropping at levels never seen before. This alone should win the Midterms for Republicans! No Democrat could have come close to doing it. Prices will be dropping by 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, and even 800%!”
To cap off a deeply political post, President Trump decided to let fans know his thoughts on the Paul-Joshua fight. He is a known boxing fan, and has a close relationship with Jake and his brother Logan Paul.
“On the plane I just got to watch the Jake Paul Fight, and he did really well, especially as a display of GREAT Courage against a very talented and large Anthony Joshua,” he wrote. “Fantastic Entertainment, but Kudos to Jake for his Stamina, and frankly, Ability, against a much bigger man!”
