Ramco Cements Ltd on Monday said it has sold its non-core assets for ₹515 crore to Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, the Bengaluru-based real estate developer.
With this, the company has so far disposed non-core assets worth ₹1,017 crore, as against the target of ₹1,000 crore that was announced while releasing the company’s Q2FY25 results.
The company had had earlier disposed non-core assets worth ₹502 crore, Ramco added in a communication to the stock exchanges.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement to the stock exchanges, the Prestige Group said that it had acquired 25-acre land parcel in Medavakkam, Chennai,. However, the company did not disclose the seller’s name.
The acquired land parcel offers a development potential of approximately 5 million sq ft, with an estimated top-line revenue potential of over ₹5,000 crore.
The site is proposed to be developed into a large-format project in line with Prestige Group’s focus on scale and planning efficiency, the release said.
