Rani Mukerji JOINS Cyber Awareness Month 2025 Inauguration

Cyber Awareness Month, celebrated every October, kicked off on October 3, 2025, with a special inauguration at the State Police Headquarters in Maharashtra. The event was graced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, actor Akshay Kumar, senior officials, and Bollywood star Rani Mukerji, who brought her trademark grace and power to the occasion and made it special for everyone.

Rani Mukerji’s Call for Awareness

Speaking at the event, Rani expressed her gratitude: “I am truly humbled and honoured to be part of the inauguration of Cyber Awareness Month. Over the years, through my films, I’ve had the privilege to portray women fighting injustice. Today, I rushed here straight from the shoot of Mardaani 3, so it feels surreal to be addressing cyber safety in real life too.”

Highlighting the rising cases of online crimes, she stressed that families need to be aware of how to protect themselves. “Cybercrimes — especially those against women and children — are silently rising within our homes. As a woman and a mother, I know how crucial awareness is. Real protection begins when families know where to seek help,” she said, thanking the CM, Additional Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Chahal, and DGP Rashmi Shukla for their leadership.

Helpline Numbers a ‘Blessing’

Rani also praised the Maharashtra Police’s cyber helplines, calling them lifelines for citizens. “The dial 1930 and dial 1945 helplines are a blessing. As an actor, I bring stories to life on screen. But as a woman, mother, and citizen, I believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure no child suffers in silence and no family loses peace of mind due to cybercrime,” she added.
