Ranveer Singh is currently in the news but not for the right reasons. A few days ago a video showing him reenacting a famous moment from the Rishabh Shetty’s blockbuster film Kantara got lots of shares and likes on social media. During the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the actor light-heartedly performed the scene with Rishab’s character, ‘Guliga Daiva’, and his sister, ‘Chaundi’. He acted it out by squinting his eyes, protruding his tongue, and pretending he was doing a high-pitched scream. Rishab Shetty chuckled at it, however, still a great number of people and fans did not share the same sentiment.

After the video surfaced, Ranveer faced constant criticism on social media. Many fans said his reaction was excessive and showed disrespect for the scene. One user wrote,”Ranveer’s reaction to the Kantara scene really felt unnecessary and disrespectful.” Another said that Ranveer has started behaving like a “chhapri” in public and should behave like a major actor. Third commented, “Ranveer should start acting like an A-list actor, not chapri in public. He does good acting, but these things he does in public make him look like a clown.” Some people also said that while Ranveer is a good actor, his antics make him funny. Ranveer even jokingly asked if he should be in Kantara 3, but the audience was not very happy with this either.
