  1. I gave my full top 10 on Twitter, but the #1 was Tokyo Mirage Sessions because it was the perfect fusion of two RPG franchises I didn’t fall in love with until the 2010s: Persona and Fire Emblem.

  2. QOTW: I’m gonna say Final Fantasy XIV. Not sure if it counts because it’s an MMORPG, but it was the MMO that got me to love an MMO. I’d tried WoW, FF XI, City of Heroes, Perfect World, among others… but they never held my interest long enough to play for longer than two maybe three months tops. FF XIV is so good and compelling that I’m on year 6 and still loving it. That’s got to say something, I’d like to think.

  3. I declare Undertale as the RPG of the Decade, in the sense of “this is the one RPG from 2010-2020 that the next generation of gamers should try out 10, 20, 30 or more years from now.”

“My” RPG of the Decade has to be World of Warcraft, because I have literally played it almost every day since 2010. The WoW: Legion expansion’s mage tower challenges (no longer in the game, unfortunately) are the most fun I’ve ever had or probably will have playing an MMO.

Honorable mention for “My” RPG of the Decade goes to Journey to Kreisia (Kemco alert), not because it’s that good, but rather because I loved it.
