General Region-wise SSC vacancies
A larger share of MTS vacancies is concentrated in regions with dense central government establishments. Delhi accounts for the highest number of posts, followed by Maharashtra and West Bengal. This distribution is consistent with recruitment trends observed in previous cycles.

General Havaldar vacancies under CBIC and CBN
The Havaldar cadre carries both administrative and field responsibilities. The vacancy list covers Customs Commissionerates, CGST & Central Excise zones, Directorates, and Narcotics units. The distribution varies significantly between metropolitan clusters, border zones, and coastal jurisdictions.The selection process for Havaldar includes a Computer-Based Examination, followed by Physical Efficiency and Physical Standards Tests. Male and female candidates must meet the prescribed walking and height parameters set out in the official notice. The subsequent document verification stage will be conducted by the regional offices based on the merit list of each zone.
