StarLadder has announced a partnership with gaming peripherals brand Corsair for the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Counter-Strike 2 event.

The brand is the latest to join forces with the esports tournament organiser, which is hosting Counter-Strike 2’s second Major of the year.

To celebrate the partnership between the two parties, customers can receive a 10% discount on Corsair’s extensive range of gaming products across its website. The brand is no stranger to the world of Counter-Strike esports. In 2019, it was the title sponsor of the DreamHack Masters tournament circuit.

In recent months, Corsair has moved away from event partnerships in favour of focusing on education initiatives. May 2024 saw it join forces with the Dundee and Angus College, providing students with access to its product range and equipping its dedicated studio with state-of-the-art equipment.

Corsair is the third partner confirmed for the StarLadder Budapest Major, taking place between November 24th and December 14th. It joins Esports Charts and fellow gaming peripherals brand ZOWIE on the event’s expanding partnership portfolio.

The Budapest Major is the second time StarLadder has hosted a significant Valve-sanctioned tournament. The tournament organiser operated the Berlin Major in 2019, where the Danish side of Astralis won its fourth Major title.

Another Notable Name

With two weeks until the opening Stage 1 matches get underway, StarLadder is demonstrating the value of Counter-Strike Majors by attracting several high-profile names to partner with for the event.

The three-week tournament sees 32 teams from across the world head to the Hungarian capital to compete for a $1.25m (~£949,159) prize pool along with a chance to cement a place in Counter-Strike esports history.

The Budapest Major marks a new era for Counter-Strike’s tentpole tournaments. Starting with the Grand Final, all future Majors will use a best-of-five series to determine the eventual champion.
