The Pittsburgh Steelers released their list of inactive players for their Week 16 Sunday afternoon game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. As expected, several players on the visiting team will miss the Week 16 contest due to injuries.
After being ruled out for the Lions game on the Friday injury report OLB T.J. Watt (lung), CB James Pierre (calf), and G Isaac Seumalo (triceps) are all inactive on Sunday. This will mark the second games missed this season for all three players.
Also inactive on Sunday due to an injury is OLB Nick Herbig (hamstring), who was listed as doubtful on the team’s Friday injury report. Herbig was ultimately downgraded to out on Saturday. This will mark the second game this season that he has missed due to injury.
The Steelers’ list of inactive players also includes three healthy scratches in QB Will Howard, RB Kaleb Johnson, and WR Roman Wilson. Howard, however, is once again the team’s designated No. 3 emergency quarterback so he is in uniform on Sunday. As for Wilson, this marks the third consecutive game that he has been a healthy scratch. Johnson is a healthy scratch for the first time this season.
The Steelers do have DT Derrick Harmon back on Sunday against the Lions as he is active after missing the last three games with a knee injury. Also active on Sunday for the Steelers are OL Jack Driscoll and CB Daryl Porter, both of whom were elevated from the practice squad on Saturday afternoon. Both Driscoll and Porter will revert back to the team’s practice squad on Monday.
