Comedian Samay Raina is planning to return to the Indian stage with a new stand-up tour called “Samay Raina Is Alive And Unfiltered,” months after receiving a great deal of criticism for his YouTube show India’s Got Latent. The comedian revealed on Wednesday that his first India tour after the scandal will begin in Bengaluru on August 15. For the uninitiated, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s offensive remark during his first appearance as a panelist on India’s Got Latent caused a ruckus. He asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
Sharing the news on his Instagram, Samay wrote, “India tour live now on @bookmyshowin.”

Surprisingly, 40,000 tickets were sold within an hour of sales going live. Samay thanked everyone on his Instagram story, stating, “The love is unreal. We have sold 40,000 tickets in an hour for the tour. That’s a record Thank you so much for the love, we will bring the house down.”

In another post, he shared a video of his mother and wrote, “Sab Ma ke aashrivad ka kammal hai,” which translates to, his achievement was entirely due to his mother’s blessings.

Samay’s tour, which started on June 5 and ended in Sydney on July 20, traveled across Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

He will begin the trip in Bengaluru, where he will perform from August 15 to August 17. On August 23 and 24, he will perform in Hyderabad. On August 30, he will travel to Mumbai to perform. He will travel to Chennai on September 19 and 20 after visiting Kolkata on September 6 and 7. From September 26 to 28, he will also perform three gigs in Pune. On October 3, 4, and 5, three consecutive shows will wrap out the trip in Delhi.
