Having a good time with it so far?
It’s been a long time coming, but Gears is officially back, with Gears of War: Reloaded out now and available on Xbox Game Pass. This is The Coalition’s second take on a Gears of War remaster, and it brings lots of modern touches like HDR support, 120FPS gameplay, crossplay capabilities and all the rest of it.
As you may or may not have seen here at Pure Xbox, we recently reviewed Gears Reloaded and had a great time revisiting an Xbox classic. If you played 2015’s Gears of War: Ultimate Edition your mileage may vary with this one, but that’s to take nothing away from what is a great single and multiplayer shooter package from Xbox here.
Speaking of multiplayer, we’re loving the fact that Gears Reloaded is now populated with thousands of players across Xbox, PC and PS5; it means we can have great fun across our favourite online modes without fear of quiet lobbies and long queue times. Gears of War: E-Day may be waiting in the wings with a whole new Gears experience for next year, but we’ll gladly take what Reloaded is serving up in the meantime.
But, enough about our thoughts on Gears Reloaded, what do you make of this one so far? Have you been happy to hop back into Gears of War and enjoy everything it has to offer? Were you expecting more from this remaster? Come give us your early rating in the poll below and talk to us about your experience so far in the comments.
