Esports organisation Team Heretics has announced its latest partnership with cloud infrastructure provider Theta Network.
The partnership will see the launch of an AI agent to improve fan experiences across its divisions, including VALORANT, League of Legends, Brawl Stars, and Call of Duty.
In the announcement, Team Heretics shared that the AI bot will launch in Q1 2026. The agent is capable of providing fans with real-time match analysis and match statistics, personalised content for fan’s level of expertise, and interactive features on its social platforms.
Team Heretics wrote: “We’re joining forces to deliver an AI agent designed to give fans real-time analysis, tailored information, and improved interaction across all major competitions.”
The bot is powered by Theta EdgeCloud, using a hybrid infrastructure including Google Cloud, AWS, and community-operated edge-nodes.
Team Heretics has become the latest esports organisation to work with Theta Network, which has worked with various teams in 2025. The infrastructure provider has created AI-powered chatbots for organisations like Cloud9, and has enhanced e-commerce platforms for teams like 100 Thieves.
Earlier this year, Theta Network worked to bring Dignitas’ mascot ‘Digi’ by creating an AI agent as a fan resource. North American organisation NRG have also joined Theta Network’s family of partnered esports teams, creating ‘Volt’ as a result of its partnership.
Team Heretics in 2025
The announcement follows a year of highs and lows for Team Heretics across various esports scenes.
In VALORANT, Team Heretics emerged as the winners of the Esports World Cup 2025 VALORANT tournament after defeating Fnatic 3-2 in the Grand Finals, securing $500,000 (~£380,150) in winnings.
The team has not seen as much success in the League of Legends scene, failing to qualify for Worlds 2025 after placing eighth in LEC 2025 Summer.
Team Heretics also competed in the Esports World Cup’s Call of Duty tournament, where it placed fourth out of 16 teams after losing 2-3 to Movistar KOI in the third-place match.
