Tom Aspinall has reached his conclusion on the UFC 321 foul.
The UFC heavyweight champion had plans to cement his status as the undisputed king hampered by Ciryl Gane’s eye poke in Abu Dhabi this past October.
Gane badly fouled Aspinall at UFC 321, resulting in their main event title fight ending in a no contest after less than five minutes.
Aspinall has released his medical report, dealing a blow to those accusing him of looking for a way out of the fight by revealing the confirmed injuries he sustained from ‘Bon Gamin’.
And having had time to reflect on the incident, the Englishman has decided that his challenger’s actions were not inadvertent.

Tom Aspinall believes Ciryl Gane deliberately uses dirty tactics — and so did Jon Jones
Having kept largely quiet regarding UFC 321 and his recovery in recent days and weeks, Aspinall answered a number of questions that fans have been asking in a video on his YouTube channel.
After Aspinall addressed Dana White’s comments about the poke, the heavyweight champ turned his attention to Gane.
When asked if he thought the eye poke was deliberate, Aspinall admitted that he sees the Frenchman as a fighter who attempts to use dirty tactics to boost his chances of victory.
“When I watched the fight back, that’s when I really got the gist of what’s going on,” Aspinall said.
“The guy was trying to f—- poke my eyes out all the way through that round. Multiple exchanges. Nearly every exchange that I could put him in danger, he had his fingers out pointing towards my eyes.
“The guy was cheating from the first second, and the way that he wanted to win that fight was (to) have me compromised by cheating,” he added.
“Even Jon Jones himself, even the GOAT himself said before he fought him that Gane is a cheater and uses dirty tactics.”
After including footage of Gane committing fouls in other fights, a clip from Jones’ post-fight press conference after submitting ‘Bon Gamin’ in 2023 played.
“I’ve noticed in a lot of Ciryl Gane’s fights, he hits people in the back of the head quite a bit. I didn’t want any type of dirty play happening on such a big night,” Jones said.
The GOAT contender was answering a question about Gane’s low blow at UFC 285, which led to an immediate pause in their fight for the then-vacant heavyweight title.

Jon Jones has continued to mock Tom Aspinall since UFC 321
While Jones got a brief glimpse of Gane’s habit of fouling and would seem to agree with Aspinall’s take, that has not stopped the Rochester native from getting joy out of the champion’s situation.
‘Bones’ came under fire from Aspinall, other fighters, and plenty of fans for refusing to unify the division’s two titles while he occupied the throne.
The situation left Jones with a less than positive opinion of Aspinall, and he did not miss a chance to get at the Englishman after how the UFC 321 main event concluded.
Having answered allegations that he was ‘ducking’ Aspinall by changing his social media profile pictures to a duck, Jones referenced the eye poke by adding an eye patch to the photo.
That came shortly before Jones trolled Aspinall again by arriving at the Dirty Boxing 4 weigh-ins on a horse that wore an eye patch.
