Tyreek Hill Announces Surprise Career Move As He Continues to Rehab Injury

Tyreek Hill’s 2025-26 NFL season was tragically cut short after a brutal ACL injury during Week 4. With a recovery process that can be intense, the popular Miami Dolphins wide receiver is expected to be out of commission for several months, casting serious doubt on his future in the league.

If his recovery does not go as planned, some speculate Hill could walk away from the game for good. While a final decision is still months away, Hill is already focusing on an entirely new career path in the meantime.

What Is Tyreek Hill’s New Career Path Amid His Injury Recovery?

In a recent report, talk show host Andy Slater revealed that Hill has chosen a new profession. As it turns out, fans are already aware of the surprising route the star wide receiver has picked. According to Slater, Hill wants to be a DJ.

“SLATER SCOOP: Tyreek Hill is now a DJ,” Slater wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “The @cheetah mentioned this in a conversation with @unclelukereal1 at @joesstonecrab earlier this week. It’s unclear if Tyreek is taking bookings for Bar Mitzvahs and other events while recovering from his knee surgery.”

The post drew mixed reactions from fans. Many criticized Slater for using an AI-generated image to depict Hill as a DJ, expressing frustration with “AI slop” appearing on their timelines. Others wondered if this was just a hobby to pass the time during his recovery or if Hill would genuinely pursue it.

Shortly after, Hill responded to the report on X, confirming his new role.

“Coming to play house music near you 😊,” Hill posted in a quote tweet. Fan responses poured in, with many asking if they could hire him for private events, while others used it as a chance to joke about the situation.

“Nobody is better at dropping a beat,” one user wrote on X.

Another fan was interested in booking him, writing: “How can I book you for my wedding next year?” However, some fans remained focused on his football career, asking about his recovery. “Hows the (Knee) doing???” another user said.

Is Hill Seriously Planning to Retire After His Injury?

As mentioned, Hill’s future in the NFL remains uncertain. The star receiver was injured during the Dolphins’ Week 4 game against the New York Jets and underwent knee surgery shortly after. Although he has one year left on his contract with Miami, the one-time Super Bowl champion remains undecided about retirement.

“At the end of the day, I feel like that decision is based upon how I feel and where my mindset is at the moment,” Hill explained. “I’m happy with the career that I’ve had. I love playing football. I love it, but it takes a lot. It takes a lot on you mentally, it takes a lot on you physically. I’m at the point now where I need to have a conversation with mom, family, everybody. Wherever my mind is at the time, the decision will be made, but I know right now, I haven’t had time to live in the moment.”

Considering his apparent seriousness about becoming a DJ, Hill may be already leaning toward a decision about his return to the football field.
