UFC Vegas 112 debutant recovered his world title belt from bombed home in warzone

Yaroslav Amosov is set to make his long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday night.

The former Bellator welterweight champion will face Neil Magny on the UFC Vegas 112 undercard.

Yaroslav Amosov began his MMA career with 27 straight wins, but then he got KO’d by Jason Jackson.

Oleksandr Usyk’s training partner has since bounced back with a submission win over Curtis Millender, which was enough to earn him a fight with the long-time welterweight gatekeeper in his UFC debut.

Yaroslav Amosov rescued his world title from a warzone

Yaroslav Amosov took time away from MMA to fight on the frontline for Ukraine in April 2022.

The 32-year-old MMA star’s family home was destroyed by a bomb, but his mother made sure she kept Amosov’s most prized possession as safe as possible.

A viral video shows Amosov in full camo gear returning to his home to collect his world title belt.

“A belt with great history,” he wrote in the caption.

“Now I definitely won’t give it away.

“My mother hid it safely, and it survived the bombings.”
