The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the correction window for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) December 2025 examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now edit certain details in their online application form through the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.As per the official notification, the correction facility will remain open from November 10, 2025 to November 12, 2025 (11:50 pm). Candidates must ensure that all required corrections are made within this period, as no further opportunity will be provided once the window closes.
General UGC-NET December 2025: Overview
UGC-NET is conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for:
- Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor
- Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. programmes
- Admission to Ph.D. programmes only
The exam is conducted for various subjects across Indian universities and colleges.
General UGC-NET December 2025: Editable fields
According to the NTA notice, candidates can make corrections in the following particulars of their UGC-NET December 2025 online application form:
- Date of Birth
- Category
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
General Non editable fields
Candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in the following details:
- Candidate’s Name
- Gender
- Photograph
- Signature
- Mobile Number
- Email Address
- Permanent and Correspondence Address
- Examination City
General How to make corrections online
Candidates can follow the steps below to edit their application form:
- Log in to the official
NTA UGC NET portal using credentials. - Carefully review all submitted information.
- Make corrections only in editable fields.
- Submit the updated form and download/keep a screenshot of the confirmation.
- Contact the
NTA helpdesk if any non-editable fields were entered incorrectly.
