How did Ozzy Osbourne die?

Osbourne died after battling Parkinson’s. He is survived by his wife and six children.

John Michael ‘Ozzy’ Osbourne, the lead singer of the iconic British heavy metal band Black Sabbath, passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. The sad news came just two days after the singer performed with his band at a festival titled “Back to the Beginning” held in Birmingham, England, the hometown of both the band and Ozzy himself.

Fans expressed deep sadness and mourned the loss of the iconic star, and Chris Martin was one of them. He dedicated the entire show at his Nashville concert to the late singer and added, “We’d like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent, and character—a gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne. We send our love to his family.”

In January 2020, after a long battle with rising health problems, Osbourne announced that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

In an official statement, his family shared, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.”
